In the modern construction industry, more and more innovations are appearing that are designed to make the work of architects and their clients much easier. In this article we will talk about such a tool as construction programs, which allow you to determine with the necessary accuracy the main costs, construction time and many other parameters.

Any Internet user can download construction programs for free. Most modern applications are developed and uploaded to the network by popular construction companies, which thus conduct a competent advertising campaign for their services on the domestic market.

As a rule, construction programs of any class have an intuitive graphical interface and many tutorials. Thus, any user of a personal computer can independently, without the help of an experienced designer or architect, create a 3D model of their dream home. A secondary program for construction calculations will help you estimate the cost of upcoming work with maximum accuracy.

It is not uncommon for many users, both private and corporate, to use illegal or “pirated” copies. It is important to remember that many construction calculation programs from the “hacked” class have an unlimited validity period, but a simplified and reduced set of tools. Because of this, many difficulties can arise not only with demonstrating the model, but also with its addition or re-development.

Before you turn your attention to free construction programs, you should note that professional applications for modeling and estimating a home have either paid or limited access. Therefore, if you do not need to delve into the basics of the architectural and design profession, you can use free services.

This section discusses the main parameters that construction design programs should have.

Building design software

The main requirement for any construction software is ease of use. That is, the software shell should not use complex construction terminology, control should be as simple as possible, system processing of the finished model should not take long, the interface should be based on the Russian language.

The My Estimate 2.0 application meets all these requirements. This program is designed for frequent use. Its main advantages are multifunctionality, simple interface, flexibility, support for several languages, including Russian.

Program for calculating construction estimates “My Estimate”

Classic applications are controlled using the mouse, with which the user can move various elements of the future home. The program should also display error messages if the user has performed an incorrect action.

Construction drawing program

A standard program for construction drawing must comply with all real laws of physics and take into account the characteristics of each building material. A simplified version of this type of program is Home Plan Pro. Using this tool, the user can create a basic drawing of the house with pinpoint accuracy, as well as draw up a detailed plan of the interior. Basic skills in drawing and architecture are required to use this application. Thanks to the simple interface, the user will quickly get used to the presented professional environment.

House drawing in Home Plan Pro program

And another important parameter of any construction software is a rich set of software tools. The program for construction drawings is equipped with a special designer, where each element is assigned a place in the appropriate category. Also, when constructing certain structures, any application should provide the user with the opportunity to see how a real model will behave under different weather conditions.

SketchUp is easy to learn; in this program you can create plans, elevations, sections, details, specifications, architectural 3D models, construction projects, engineering structures.

Introduction

Introduction

The inevitable increase in requirements for the pace and quality of construction, the complication of equipment and technology of work, as well as many other factors cause a significant increase in volumes and complication of tasks in the field of automation and modeling of the work of enterprises for the construction of industrial facilities.

Problems of compatibility (logical, methodological, informational, mathematical, etc.) of organizational and technological design subsystems with related subsystems of architectural and construction design of industrial facilities and design of management decisions are relevant.

A distinctive feature of the technological process of construction production, in addition to a large number of parameters affecting its final cost, is the use of a large number of different types of resources and the ability to create various combinations of these resources in the form of rigid bundles of sequences. Resources in construction production include both material and financial resources, as well as human resources in the form of labor. The latter implies the presence of a certain degree of uncertainty in the values of key parameters affecting the cost of construction work.

A wide range of issues related to the automation of production preparation that arise during the processing of design estimates (DED), the formation of long-term and annual plans for construction and installation work (CEM), and the organization of logistics and procurement have not been resolved. The organization of interrelations between teams, mechanisms, vehicles and services that ensure the supply of structures, materials and semi-finished products is far from perfect.

Practice shows that modeling the work of construction enterprises in the use of resources and automation of construction processes are the most important factors influencing the increase in the pace of construction, the growth of labor productivity, and the commissioning of industrial facilities on time.

The goal of the course project is to solve the systemic problem of complex automation and modeling of processes of technological preparation of construction production, improving the mechanisms for controlling technological processes of construction work, technical means, materials and products through the use of new developed models and methods for solving problems arising during the functioning of construction enterprises industrial facilities in order to ensure specified restrictions (deadlines for commissioning of facilities, resource and financing limits, etc.) and rational use of resources.

The object of study is the Project Kaiser project and task management system.

The subject of the research is methods, models and algorithms for automation of enterprises for the construction of industrial facilities.

1. Classification scheme of modern software

Programs running on a computer (Fig.) can be divided into three categories:

application programs that directly support the execution of work required by users: editing texts, drawing pictures, processing information arrays, etc.;

system programs that perform various auxiliary functions, such as creating copies of used information, issuing help information about the computer, checking the functionality of computer devices, etc.;

instrumental systems (programming systems) that ensure the creation of new programs for a computer.

Application programs

Hundreds of thousands of different application programs have been developed and used for the IBM PC for various applications. The most widely used programs are:

preparing texts (documents) on a computer - text editors;

preparation of documents of typographic quality - publishing systems;

processing tabular data - table processors;

processing of information arrays - database management systems.

Table processors provide work with large tables of numbers. The most popular spreadsheet processors are Lotus - 1-2-3, Quattro Pro, Microsoft Excel, Super Calc, etc.

Database management systems (DBMS) allow you to manage large information arrays - databases. DBase, Microsoft Office, Word, etc.

Graphic editors allow you to create and edit pictures on your computer screen. Paint, Photoshop.

Business and scientific graphics systems make it possible to display various types of graphs and charts (histograms, pie and pie charts, etc.). Among these systems, the most popular programs are Microsoft Chart, Boeing, Graph and others, while the Harvard Graphics package also has scientific graphics capabilities.

Computer-aided design (CAD) systems allow you to draw and design various mechanisms using a computer. Among these systems, Auto Cad is the leader, but for many tasks it is advisable to use other CAD systems. Oracle, Primavera, Winestimate.

Accounting programs are designed for maintaining accounting records, preparing financial statements and financial analysis of enterprises. 1C.

System programs

Operating system. Among all system programs, a special place is occupied by the operating system - a program that loads when the computer is turned on. It carries out a dialogue with the user, manages the computer, its resources (RAM, disk space, etc.), and launches other (application) programs for execution. The operating system provides the user and application programs with a convenient way to communicate (interface) with computer devices.

Drivers. An important class of system programs are driver programs. They expand DOS's ability to manage computer input/output devices (keyboard, hard drive, mouse, etc.), RAM, etc. Using drivers, you can connect new devices to your computer or use existing devices in non-standard ways.

Operating shells, unlike conventional shell programs, not only give the user a more visual means of performing frequently used actions, but also provide new capabilities for the programs that are launched. Most often this is:

graphical interface, i.e. a set of tools for displaying images on the screen and manipulating them, building menus, windows on the screen, etc.;

multiprogramming, i.e. possibility of simultaneous execution of several programs;

advanced tools for exchanging information between programs.

Operating shells simplify the creation of graphical programs, providing a large number of convenient tools for this, and expand the capabilities of the computer. But the price for this is increased resource requirements.

Helper programs (utilities)

System programs can also include a large number of so-called utilities, i.e. auxiliary programs. Packaging programs.

Programs for creating backup copies of information on disks.

Antivirus programs.

Communication programs.

Programs for computer diagnostics.

Programs are disk caches.

Disk optimization programs.

Dynamic disk compression programs.

Programs for offline printing.

Programs for memory management.

Programs for screen printing.

Local network management programs.

Instrumentation systems

Even with tens of thousands of programs available for the IBM PC, users may need something that existing programs don't do (or do, but not quite right). In these cases, programming systems should be used, i.e. systems for developing new programs. Modern programming systems for personal computers usually provide the user with very powerful and convenient tools for developing programs.

There are many programming systems available for popular programming languages on the IBM PC. Naturally, programmers prefer those systems that are easy to use, produce efficient programs, have rich libraries of functions (subroutines) and powerful capabilities for debugging developed programs. Examples of such programming systems include Turbo C, Turbo Pascal, Microsoft Basic.

Programming systems primarily differ, naturally, in what programming language they implement. Among programmers writing programs for personal computers, the most popular languages are C, Pascal and BASIC.

2. Model of the subject area “Construction”

Construction - construction of buildings and structures, as well as their major and current repairs, reconstruction, restoration and renovation.

The construction process includes all organizational, survey, design, construction, installation and commissioning work associated with the creation, modification or demolition of an object, as well as interaction with the competent authorities regarding the performance of such work.

The result of construction is considered to be an erected building (structure) with interior finishing, operating engineering and technological systems and a full set of documentation required by law.

Convenience of the interface. The user interface of the system has a clear division into general corporate space and personal sections:

When working in a personal section, an employee can concentrate on his own tasks, and when accessing the general section, he can learn about events and events within the company.

Navigation through the Kaiser Project is built on the principle of an Internet browser: when you select the desired section in the auxiliary menu on the right side of the screen, a tab with relevant information opens:

The number of tabs that can be opened in the workspace is not limited and depends on the nesting level of a particular subsection. This circumstance confuses me somewhat, since when working with a large number of tasks and projects, many open tabs in the system, it seems to me, create confusion. I have to constantly close intermediate tabs.

When creating a project, it is proposed to invite employees to participate in it. If you skip this step and proceed to filling out the project card, then when you select the performer and responsible employee, a dialog box appears with a message stating that there are no participants in this project. In my opinion, it would be more logical if the system offered to add participants to the project at this stage. But no: in order to do this, the user must return one step back to the project editing mode.

Despite all the logic and sequence of operations enshrined in the structure of the system, this nuance reduces the efficiency of the project creation process.

The system task director is maintained in a strict hierarchical order. In addition to the user’s actual tasks, this structure also includes projects in which the user takes part and related documentation.

If a task is assigned to an employee as part of a project, it is displayed not only in the “My tasks” section, but also in the “My projects” folder.

Task Manager

The system does not have its own calendar. To plan project activities, you can create a corresponding document in the “Documents” folder. In addition, the system is integrated with Google calendar.

Communications

The system has a built-in chat for instant messaging. It is located in the General section in the tab: More/All tools/Chat.

The following remains unclear to me about how the chat works: how to see how many users are online and whether it is possible to selectively send messages to specific groups of employees. Apparently, chat does not have such capabilities.

In addition to messaging, commenting on files and records is provided:

There are also forums for employees to discuss current issues. You can create separate forums for each project.

The system implements a standard workflow, within which the types of tasks and implementation statuses of current tasks are determined. By default, a task in this system goes through the following statuses: Not Started, Receiving, Executing, Unclear, Approval and Completed.

Adaptation of the system to the specifics of the business

The system is suitable for both small companies with up to five people (a free version of the system is available for download), and for large design organizations with a number of employees of 100 people or more.

Monitoring and visualization tools

It is convenient to track the implementation of tasks by company employees on a project using the “Who is working on what” tool:

The task implementation status is displayed in the “Analytics” field:

There is a built-in Gantt chart to visually display the progress of the project:

Consolidation of information

All information on projects and tasks is stored in a structured form due to the fact that documents are created in connection with a specific project object. Requirements and documents can be created in wiki-layout mode or in a visual editor, which provides ample opportunities for their formatting:

To track document edits, their versioning is maintained and the history of changes is saved.

The possibility of team work on tasks, flexible configuration of access rights to documents and files - qualities of the system that simplify the work with the flow of information on projects.

There is a section for storing the user's personal files.

Kaiser Project is a system “tailored” for conducting project activities for an enterprise. However, the usual cumbersomeness of the interface, characteristic of many Project Managers, is reduced to zero here due to BPM tools and interaction management tools.

Main conclusions and results

1. A classification scheme for modern software has been developed

2. A model of the “Construction” subject area is proposed

3. A classification scheme of professional applications has been completed to provide information support for the activities of specialists working in construction

Construction has specific, inherent only features

1. a large number of participants are involved in construction;
2. material resources and equipment are strictly tied to the territory;
3. construction is carried out strictly according to the requests of specific customers;
4. characterized by large costs and long lead times.

Problems of construction industry enterprises that automation can solve

1. Difficulty in planning.
Construction is characterized by significant cash flows: purchase and delivery of materials, equipment and machinery, payments and receipts from customers and buyers. Even short-term planning is a big problem, since there are many partners, contracts are not concluded in a timely manner. Within the framework of an automated control system, it is possible to carry out not only short- and long-term planning, but also to control the execution of work.

2. Lack of information about cash receipts and payments.
True control is in the hands of those who own the information. “He who owns the information owns the world,” said Winston Churchill. Without control “from above,” the real master at a construction site can be a foreman who has several “left-handed” teams and pushes materials “under the counter.” Effective control is the dream of every construction manager, and automation of management in construction requires strict and timely reporting of both foremen and sites.

Conclusion

Experience shows that when implementing automated management systems, 70% of the positive effect is achieved by establishing order, and the remaining 30% by changing and improving management processes.

Implementation results:

  • Improving the quality of analytical information on capital investments, sources of financing, settlements with contractors and suppliers, accounting of materials and equipment, etc.
  • Reducing the costs of the construction customer’s staff, increasing the transparency of information on the costs of maintaining departments.
  • Strengthening control over costs and use of investor funds.
  • Simplification of settlements with investors, contractors, design institutes.
  • Elimination of routine operations.
  • Automation needs to be approached wisely. First of all, you need to choose the right software product.

    Take your time. Contact the company or an experienced specialist. They will advise you, show you demo videos and presentations, and answer all your questions.

    The experience of those who will implement these products for you is especially important, since construction software products are very specific and cannot be fully adapted and modified for you by inexperienced specialists in this industry. It is ideal if they name you companies that have been automated on the product that interests you. In this case, you will be able to contact end users directly and get their opinion.

    Using the configuration

    "1C:Enterprise 7.7. ICS Configuration: Construction rev.3.03" (configuration for the "Accounting" component) is designed to work with any software products that include the "Accounting" component of the "1C:Enterprise 7.7" program system (not the basic version) .

    ICS:Construction Management

    The "ICS: Construction Management" configuration was created based on the standard 1C: Accounting configuration and contains all its elements. The configuration is intended for use in enterprises of the following profile:

    construction and installation; repair and maintenance; laying communication lines, power supply, gasification, heating, water supply. highways and others where design and estimate documentation is used.

    The development is based on the concept of the primacy of the resource estimate in the activities of a contracting construction organization.

    The estimate can be generated using estimate programs such as "Bars", "Estimate-2000", "Resource Estimate", etc. or generated manually, which is the basis for the automatic generation of all further actions: planning, accounting and analysis.

    This program architecture greatly simplifies and facilitates the work of engineering and technical workers, accounting departments and enterprise management. By comparing the actual costs of work and materials with estimated prices, you can analyze the activities of the enterprise at any stage of construction and prevent unauthorized actions: for example, the purchase of materials, the execution of work, the operation of tools and mechanisms.

    This product will help solve one of the main tasks of the contracting organization - reducing construction costs.

    The configuration allows the following functions:

    1. Automatic generation of all planning documents.
    Work schedule.
    Plan-task for the foreman (foreman, foreman).
    Application to the supply department for materials and mechanisms.
    Material delivery schedule.

    2. Automatic generation of all accounting documents for work, materials, tools and mechanisms:
    Acts of completing stages of work (percentage) and completion of work (general).
    Construction invoices.
    Material report for each construction project.

    3. Thanks to the work of all specialists in a single information field, the configuration allows timely coordination of work between specialists from the accounting department, economic planning department, supply department, technical maintenance department of a construction enterprise.

    Estimate Plus 7.5.

    Purpose of the system:

    Users of the Estimate Plus 7.5 system can be enterprises and organizations of any specialization and form of ownership. In addition, the system can be successfully used in construction departments of enterprises in any industry. The functions for generating estimate documentation embedded in the system are used in design and engineering departments, design and estimate bureaus, design institutes, and estimate departments. The functions of working with ready-made estimates, generating reporting documents (Work Completion Certificate, Form M29) are used in production, production and technical departments, logistics and technical supply departments, etc. The "Estimate Plus 7.5" system can also be successfully used by Capital Construction Departments to monitor the correctness of the preparation of estimate documentation.

    The entire functional part of the system is implemented by configuration tools of the V7 platform (components "1C: Operational Accounting" of the program system "1C:Enterprise" version 7.5). The database of estimated norms and prices is implemented using the Delphi package as a separate autonomous part of the system, interacting with 1C: Operational Accounting through the OLE Automation mechanism.

    The Estimate Plus 7.5 system is available for any changes. This is ensured by the openness of the platform itself, with the help of which the system is developed and operates. The delivery version contains everything necessary for the development of design and estimate documentation. In addition, the user can order original settings for his enterprise or develop them with his own specialists, using the tools of the 1C: Enterprise system.

    The delivery set includes a standard configuration of the estimate calculation system and a complete regulatory framework of estimated prices and standards, designed as an external component. The external regulatory framework contains prices for all regions of the CIS countries. It includes all types of construction, installation, repair and other work, which allows the use of a new system of cost estimates in construction organizations of any specialization.

    The external database of estimated prices and standards is protected from unauthorized copying by a separate key.
