In fact, there are a great many convenient and multifunctional devices for storing all kinds of kitchen utensils. Here are just 10 options.

Extendable Seasonings

Who said that only spoons, forks, and knives can be stored in drawers? Why is there such a firm conviction that all bulk products and seasonings need to be packaged in special cans? Believe me, this is just a prejudice, the last century. It is very convenient to arrange the pepper, bay leaf and much more in separate compartments of the drawer. And getting them out of there is even more convenient!

Door with a secret

In a small kitchen, try to functionally use every centimeter of the working area. And even in a small compartment between the sink and the dishwasher, you can store all kinds of kitchen utensils. And you need quite a bit for this - attach a metal mesh and hooks to the inside of the sliding door.

Kryshkin House

And to store the lids, you can use ordinary doors from kitchen cabinets. Such convenient suspended metal modules are quite suitable for them.

You can also buy wire racks or special hanging baskets to expand the space in the cupboards. They are stacked on shelves, and the storage space for kitchen utensils actually doubles.

Hooks or steel rails mounted on the inside of the kitchen cabinet door extend the storage options. Spice racks can also be attached to them.

At arm's length

Feel free to use all kinds of compact and multifunctional equipment. Install hanging shelves for spices and utensils. By the way, in a small kitchen, crossbars with hooks for kitchen utensils placed along the walls, designed to store both dishes and accessories, will help save space.

Hinged shelves are very convenient due to their mobility and ease of construction. They can be placed and removed as necessary.

Bright accent

A transparent hanging pocket for the door can be used to store not only kitchen utensils, but also other household items. Now you do not have to rush around the apartment in search of clothespins or hairpins. And if in the house, for example, the light suddenly goes out, then you will definitely know where to find the candle and matches. Vitamins, hydrogen peroxide, measuring spoons, napkins ... Everything can be placed here! And at the same time you can be sure that these things will always be at your fingertips. Decorate your pocket with ribbons and bright labels, and it will become the most stylish accessory of your home.

Ceramic pockets

Such convenient ceramic pockets look very stylish and can significantly save space in the kitchen, as well as avoid unnecessary clutter. Instead of one scapula on one hook, you can hang as many as five, or even more! It is also convenient to store forks, spoons and other small things.

Magnetize

No need to burden the kitchen design with traditional wooden knife stands. Free the work area in every possible way. Get a wall magnet pendant. Small metal boxes with spices can also be attached to it.

It is convenient to place magnets on the door of the kitchen cabinet - outside or inside. Or in any other suitable place, in your opinion.

Making an ergonomic kitchen

An excellent option for storing kitchen utensils - ergonomic shelves. They allow you to rationally use every centimeter. kitchen furniture. Retractable sections, drawers on casters, rotating shelves and other useful accessories help to engage even hard-to-reach corners and voids in kitchen set. And in addition, significantly simplify the life of the hostess, freeing her from many unnecessary movements.

In limbo

For storage of kitchen utensils, a special wall mesh is quite suitable. The futuristic semblance of a familiar shelf saves space and surprises with its diverse design. In stores it is easy to find models with pockets, shelves or hooks where you can place cutlery, napkins, bottles, pots, salt shakers, pepperboxes and cookbooks.

Extendable pantry

If you do not have space for a separate pantry, but you really want to get one, then it is quite possible to create a retractable pantry. This simple device will provide easy access to items located in the far corners of the drawer. In addition, you can install it in any, even the narrowest niche.

I hope these 10 ideas will resonate in your hearts and place in the kitchen. And remember: the secret of delicious dishes is not only in the culinary talent of the hostess, but also in her ability to properly organize her work area.

Often women are faced with the problem of finding a new pan, or some product in kitchen cabinets, as well as the problem of constant rearrangement of plates and cans in order to get the same mayonnaise or peas. In fact, all this can be simplified and minimized, and this work and thereby save nerves.

How to organize the order in the kitchen and kitchen cabinets

  By following the steps below, you can organize your kitchen utensils and products in the best way.
    1. Place large pots and pans in cabinets that fit closer to the stove. If you have the same type of pans and pans, then remove the one that is outdated, vilified (present them or just take them away to the barn). Make the arrangement of utensils and their lids equally accessible.

    2. Place breakable utensils (plates, glasses, etc.) in wall cabinets above the sink. Make sure that the dishes that are used are always closer to the door and the most accessible. Do not try to press all the dishes into the cabinets - and here we advise you to get rid of old plates, cups and other cracked, shabby things, so that there is space between the really used things inside the cabinets.

    3. Place canned food and spices on the upper shelves closer to the stove. Here, again, you need to do a sorting: a) perhaps the expiration date of some things has expired - throw them away; b) canned food, spices that are used once or twice every six months, clean in the pantry / balcony, thereby freeing up space in the kitchen; c) place frequently used ones on shelves in the kitchen, as we advised above.

    4. Use the lower shelves that are away from the oven for products such as flour, sugar, pasta, cereals, and similar products. Get special volumetric containers for storing these products in order to ensure their safety from moisture and insects. Pay special attention to the wiping of these cabinets and the use of special crayons against insects.

    5. If possible, then organize a pantry outside the kitchen where you will store other products and items. This space is suitable for storing jams, vegetables and fruits. In general, additional space outside the kitchen will benefit the overall look of the kitchen.

    6. Use the space under the sink to store powders and detergents. To rear order there, buy special containers to arrange a trifle that will go there.

  And in the end, advice to those who are still going to buy furniture for the kitchen. Try to estimate the amount of all utensils, possible products that you will keep in the kitchen and other components to determine the volume and number of cabinets you need to restore order and convenience. It is best to use custom-made kitchens that are made based on the wishes of the customer. Be sure to consult and listen to the opinion of the husband or senior man in the house when choosing this or that design. Explain to them your desires, and making sure that they understand you will agree with their decision, whatever it may be.

And yet, when buying tea, try to take into account the advice that the TV program "Test purchase" gives.

Today, as I promised, we’ll talk about organizing our kitchen cabinets and drawers.

Since the kitchen is a very individual space that bears the imprint of the character and habits of its owners and is very different from house to house, at least in such characteristics as its size, intensity of use, functionality, thoughtfulness at the planning stage and many, many more for others, it’s very difficult to give any universal directions regarding putting things in order. However, I want to offer you some recommendations that will help you in the difficult task of organizing such a difficult room, like a kitchen.

  1. We throw out the excess

The basic rule of restoring order in kitchen cabinets and drawers is to get rid of unnecessary and unnecessary items, group objects similar in function and use together, and place groups that have received them in their areas of use.

The first thing I want to warn you from trying to make out everything at once. Given that sometimes it is also difficult to sort out one kitchen drawer, how to clean up the whole room, it is highly likely that your fuse or temporary resources will run out as soon as you extract the entire contents of all the drawers and cabinets, which will lead to even more chaos. Therefore, the surest way to achieve the desired result is to take your time and break the work into stages (for example, one box per day).

At this stage, our goal is to free up space in cabinets and drawers for storing what you really regularly use. As a result of the work done, you should be able to easily and quickly find the desired item, without spending extra effort on shifting other items. In addition, drawers and cabinets should be easy to open and should not fall out when opened. To achieve this, you should objectively evaluate the usefulness of a particular object, ruthlessly getting rid of everything dubious and of little use (do you really need so many containers or so many knives? What is the use of a container without a lid?).

  1. Sort and sort the left things according to their areas of use.

In the previous article, we already touched on the issue of zoning the kitchen. It is the zoning of the kitchen that will tell you where and what to store correctly in terms of ergonomics

  • STORAGE: the “storage” zone is used to place such things as:
       Cutlery;
       Household items;
       Small electrical appliances.

In addition, food is stored in this area, so there is a refrigerator for storing perishable and frozen foods

  • SINK: in this area there is a dishwasher, if implied, a sink with a cupboard. In the closet you can put:
       Bucket for trash;
       Cleaning products and equipment;
       Dishwashing detergents;
       Garbage bags.

But be careful: in the cabinet under the sink there are also pipes - which means that there is always a danger of leaks. Therefore, the things that you store there should be well protected from water, and the storage system used should not impede free access to the pipes.

  • CUTTING AND PREPARATION OF PRODUCTS: this area is the main working area in the kitchen. In this area, it is recommended to place the kitchen utensils that are necessary for cooking. For example:
       Cutting boards;
       Vinegar, oil, etc .;
       Spices and seasonings;
       Bowls and bowls;
       Food processors, meat grinder and other equipment.

In addition, open and frequently used products can be stored in this area.

  • HEAT PROCESSING: The cooking zone is undoubtedly one of the main working areas of every kitchen. It contains a stove, range hood, oven. It is there that it is best to store items used for cooking on the stove and in the oven. For example:
       Pans
       Pots
       Baking sheets and racks;
       Molds and foil for baking;
       Devices and components for baking;
       Cloth rags.

Even in the smallest kitchen, you can easily select the most popular of these areas.

At this stage, you are required to arrange the remaining items in those areas of the kitchen where they are most often used, so as not to waste time searching for them.

  1. Put things in place

Now that we have determined what zone should be stored, things must be neatly laid out in their places.

It is important to remember that the most frequently used items must be stored in the zone of your accessibility (a space that you can clearly see and where you can reach without standing on your socks or squatting).

Crates

Then I remembered one video about putting things in order in kitchen drawers. The author takes out one of his boxes. Various household supplies (sponges for dishes, bags, gauze, foil, etc.) are rather chaotic in it. The lady takes out everything, lays the bottom with paper, and then folds everything in free order back. Honestly, it was very much like assembling a puzzle - what was left where it fit. So: in no case should it be like that! Throwing away all that is superfluous, folding back the desired objects at random is a direct way to the mess. Such an order with active use of the box will last you a week, and then all things will mix again, and you will return to where you started.

At this stage, it is important for you to limit the free movement of things around the box. Here are a few tools to help you achieve this:

  • Shelf dividers. Probably every housewife in one of the drawers has a separator for storing cutlery. Why not use separators in others? Moreover, their diversity will allow you to choose the right one based on what and where you need to share.

  • Plastic baskets.  I have already dedicated a whole ode to them, praising their many virtues and possibilities of use. Organization of order in the box - one of them

  • Waste boxes. Why bring extra items into the house (even if they are designed to maintain order) when you can use existing ones?

What is better to store in boxes:

The most commonly used items, it would be most appropriate to store in drawers, which will simplify access to them. It can be:

      • Kitchen essentials such as can openers, garlic press and so on. Usually they are stored together in one box.
      • If you often bake, you may want to have a separate box only for measuring cups, measuring spoons, molds, and other utensils.
      • You can allocate space in the drawer for kitchen towels and potholders
      • In the bottom drawer you can store groceries, such as cereals, flour, salt, sugar, etc.
      • You may need a separate storage box for food containers and items such as foil and baking parchment.

By the way, a few words about containers. Give preference to square and rectangular - during storage they take up less space!

Cabinets.

What do we most often store in lockers?

      • A variety of dishes: cups, plates, bowls.
      • Small household appliances (remember that this appliance is heavier, the closer it should be stored to the floor).
      • Groceries and seasonings

From the point of view of organization, cabinets are much inferior to drawers in terms of convenience.

In the case of cabinets, due to their design features, quite a lot of empty space is formed, due to inconvenience to use without special organizers. For example, deep in the cabinet, this space can be used to store rarely used items, but there is a great risk of losing them altogether. Well-organized organizers will help you cope with these inconveniences. I would particularly highlight the following.

  • Multi-tier coasters  (usually two, three). Items placed on it are clearly visible even deep in the cabinet. If you don’t want to spend money on a special stand, you can build something similar yourself by putting an unnecessary narrow box in the back of the cabinet and putting things on it.

Despite the number of kitchen cabinets, anyway, some element of household appliances or utensils remains in sight. This principle haunts most kitchens.

The main problem is clearly not in the footage, but in the ability to rationally use the free space. The ergonomics of the kitchen area is a very important factor for every family from a household point of view.

Preparing a place for the arrangement of tableware

It does not matter whether people themselves cook food or purchase it in a store, they have their own dishes at home. The presence of plates is an attribute of any kitchen. Sometimes, the circulation of dishes accelerates so much "ate - washed - ate again" that it does not dry out. To save your own time for drying cups and plates, it is necessary to set aside a specific cabinet for this purpose, in which to equip a drawer with a drying function. It can consist of a drip tray, as well as several tiers of a metal grill for laying utensils on it.

How to properly position overall utensils

To save quite large-sized items in the kitchen, a lot of space is needed, these include: baking dishes, pastry paraphernalia, pots, gooseberries, pans, etc. It is necessary with maximum rationality to approach the issue of arranging boxes for storing the above attributes. Good option  there will be boxes of capacious depth with the possibility of their smooth opening, which should be positioned closer to the floor itself. Due to such a low location, they can be made deeper, since all cooking appliances and pans, in addition to large volumes, have a solid weight. Leaning over a heavy pan is much easier than getting it from the top shelves.

Do not forget about the separate saving of the lids, as they have the ability to rumble, and a special arrangement requires a model of transparent glass. Now they are most in demand and are equipped with most pans and pans.

A very popular mistake is considered to be the free angle under the countertop in the location headsets. Most modern furniture cluster factories can offer a whole list of special fittings for the rational use of free space. For example: automatic-type retractable corners or carousels that can be rotated 360, 270 or 180 degrees. Through the corners you can get the so-called "German" corner-shaped boxes. They were first used in Germany, and now they can be ordered from almost every furniture manufacturer.

It happens that in the arrangement of kitchen cabinets between them there are free gaps of a decent size from 15 to 20 cm. Of course, they are not enough to install a full-fledged cabinet, but it is quite acceptable for the installation of the “bottle-box” mechanism. The main privilege of cargo systems is ergonomics, as well as easy access to utensils from all sides. From the position of height for such devices there are no strict prohibitions.

It is necessary to remember one thing, the larger the cargo system, the more high-quality fittings should be to it. It is worth remembering that the bottles and cans located in it are quite heavy. Sliding the drawer itself must be facilitated, as well as divide it into compartments, so that each part of it has the possibility of a separate opening.

The most advantageous location for cutlery, partly forks, spoons, whisks, knives, plates and other appliances is considered to be a worktop, or rather a place under its working plane. It should be noted that in this case everything that is needed for the kitchen work turns out to be easily accessible at a distance of the arm extended forward.

An important factor is that cutlery boxes should be small in size and height, so they take up minimal space in the countertop. They can be equipped with separate trays with dividers, so as not to get confused in the location, for example, forks or spoons. Cutlery is lightweight, so the width of the drawers for their location can be more than 50 cm, up to 1 meter.

Delineation of edible stocks

In this matter, there is no longer the limits of the owners' imagination, since there are a lot of variations in the location of the products. Professionals in the furniture industry kitchen design  recommend reducing the number of lockers equipped with swing doors. They can be advantageously replaced by facades with the function of raising the curtain or drawerssince it is ergonomic with free space, and getting injured on open doors will be difficult.

For conservatives and lovers of kitchen cabinets with a swinging option for opening them, there is also a way to slightly modify the classic ideas about this design. Modernization is possible thanks to additional shelves or drawers for saving spices.

It is believed that groceries should be stored in drawer-type drawers at the bottom of the kitchen wall. Banks can be distributed both horizontally and vertically. Do not ignore the systems known as the “second bottom”, since this type of organization of the place hides shelves and drawers behind a single facade.

Land for household chemicals and detergents

In contrast to all the rules of ergonomics, a separate pantry for detergents is a completely irrational waste of space in the apartment. It is necessary to save detergents in the room for which they are needed. How to arrange household chemicals near food?

Do not give up, in a niche under the washbasin in the area of \u200b\u200bthe garbage bucket it is worth equipping a small compartment or drawer for it. In adjacent drawers you can save washcloths, gloves, napkins and other sponges, washing dishes.

Expanding the boundaries: is it possible to find free places in a full kitchen
